“Seminaries do not adequately prepare pastors to deal with the social and systemic realities confronting the congregations they serve. An alternative to the status quo presents an opportunity to reclaim the life giving and sustaining history of Black churches.”
Overview
The Seminary Without Walls is a one-year experience for pastoral leaders. Course content and ministry praxis center on four foci grouped in two clusters: Hermeneutics and Foundations for Ministry, and Homiletics and Sociology in the Sanctuary. The program faculty is comprised of experts currently teaching at seminaries and divinity schools around the country, church pastors, activists, and community leaders.
